We will talk about your <strong>long term goals<\/strong> and what you want to achieve in the short term.<\/p>\n<p>We will go through a <strong>brief set of rhythmic and pitch matching exercises<\/strong> and you will sing a song that you bring with you.<\/p>\n<p>I do not have any expectations about your ability, and you can be at any stage in your vocal development.<\/p>\n<p>A typical lesson includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A warm up<\/li>\n<li>Exercises for vocal technique<\/li>\n<li>Songs and preparation notes for your next lesson<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The amount of time spent on each of these areas depends on your vocal objectives.<\/p>\n<h2>What to bring to your first voice lesson<\/h2>\n<p>Please bring:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least <strong>one piece of music that you would like to sing at the lesson<\/strong>. It can be a folk song, classical piece, musical theatre selection or popular song<\/li>\n<li><strong>Two copies of the piece<\/strong>; one for you to look at and the other for me. I can make notes on my copy, giving you things to work on<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>recording device<\/strong> if you would like to record the lesson. This is optional<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>bottle of water<\/strong>. It is always good to keep the vocal folds well lubricated. Also drink water before your lesson<\/li>\n<li>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/studiodavidbertram.com\/index.php\/register-for-voice-lessons\/\">completed Registration Form<\/a><\/strong>. By completing this form before you arrive, you save valuable lesson time<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/studiodavidbertram.com\/index.php\/payment-for-voice-lesson-richmond-hill-york-region\/\">Full <strong>payment<\/strong> for the first lesson<\/a>.
